Ok.....so, I had sex for the first time 5
days ago. It was with a man I dearly love
and intend to marry. I am a diabetic and
have decreased my amount of insulin this
summer due to the amount of activity I
have been taking on. I normally run 3+
miles a day and help pour concrete so I'm
constantly active. I work with all males
and wonder if this may have something to
due with hormone levels. Anyway....we had
sex and he only wore a condom part of the
time he was inside of me. He never
ejaculated without one but I'm still SO
SCARED I could be pregnant. I started my
period on Sunday just as I should have but
it was extremely light. This is not
entirely out of the ordinary since last
month's was light as well.....but not this
light. It lasted 2 1/2 days and I only
used one tampon. I just want to know my
chances of being pregnant! I tested on
Sunday and monday evening with a urine
test and both were negative....but it's
probbly too early for those to work... ahhh I'm so scared!

You never know he could have ejaculated in
you, it only takes a little to get
pregnant. The light period may mean that
you are pregnant, or it could also mean
that you are getting ready to start your
period. Another thing that I have heard of
is that women that are really physically
active sometimes have shorter periods,
some have none at all. I have had four
children and it took a really long time
to be able to tell by a pregnancy test
sometimes two weeks passed my expected
period. The earliest I could tell was
about one week after my expected period,
and the line was really faint I found
myself searching for the line. But if you
really want to know you could always go to
the doctor and have them give you a blood
test. Good luck and best wishes.

if you don't want to be preg (it doesn't
sound like you are to me anyway) you can
take 'plan b' t's an ecp the works up to 3
days after and prevents implantation.
