me, only if you count condoms, lol. i was taking a one month break from birth control pills so i could get tests done on my heart ( i was having palpitations and they wanted to rule out the pill as a cause ). so we were using condoms instead. i swear to god we only did it twice and bam!!

i guess that's not what you're really asking though. it never happened when i was on the pill.

I didn't, and I'm pretty fertile since I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle trying to conceive (and the first cycle trying, our timing was off, so my chances were not that good anyway). I took the pill for 5 years and then used condoms exclusively for about a year and never had any scares.

I have heard the low dose pills are more likely to fail, particularly if you are not good at taking them at a regular time or skip pills or fail to use backup protection when you're on antibiotics or have vomiting or diarrhea. I was never on a super-low dose pill. Mostly, I took an older triphasic pill (ortho-novum 7/7/7) and then 2 higher estrogen pills, Ovcon50 and Ovcon35.

ok now i'm super freaked out...before my now bf I wanted to wait til marriage..fell in love yadda yadda stuff happened and because everytime we did anything even with a condom and pulling out I would freak out I decided to go on b.c. thinking my chances after going on that were slim to none...now...i'm just as paranoid about it as I was BEFORE the pill...maybe I should just become a born again virgin or something...i'm at a loss...i dont know what to do about being so paranoid...i really dont understand logically, it can happen if someone were using condoms AND b.c....like..those chances are really really slim right? i think i might try a spermacide...plus we do the whole pulling out thing..which, i know really doesn't do much of anything but, it just makes me feel better...QUESTION...I am on Yaz..a low dose pill, should I go on a higher dosage pill to be safer??? I take my pill religiously everyday being no later than 20 min...i start my first placebos of the month tomorrow, now i'm gonna freak out until my "period" comes..which usually is the last placebo pill day for some reason...gah

If you are taking your pills as regularly as you say, I wouldn't be worried. Getting pregnant on the pill is not that common. It doesn't help anything to worry anyways. I was on the pill for four years and never had a scare.
