I have a question. What do you ladies wear for shoes? I work 42-44 hours a week. Depending on what's going on. And the shoes i have are not cutting it. Just wondering if anyone could suggest a good brand, or something for me. I'm going shopping tomorrow, and i want ot pick up a new pair. THanks ladies!

get some nurse shoes!!! they look like those crocs only they dont have the holes, they come in all different colors and are AMAZING, i was doing a class to be a CNA,i'm going into pre nursing, and these shoes were soooo comfortable..i felt like i was walking on clouds..go to a uniform shop and check them out, they're great if you're gonna be on your feet for a long period of time...but i dont know what you have to wear to work...if you have to wear dress clothes then, this probably isn't the best idea

RAINBOWS...if you want a comfy flipflop THAT is def the one to buy...I thought it was dumb to pay that much for a sandle until I just couldn't stand it and bought a pair for myself, they're like $40 but they really do mold to your foot once you break them in and they're so comfy, not to mention they last a lifetime...that and boat shoes..omg I could not live without my boat shoes and rainbows haha..the boatshoes gave me blisters until i broke them in tho Confused but now they're so comfy, i luv'em

they're hideous but i recommend crocs. they are sooo comfortable. even though they're really ugly, they're also really popular so it's not like people will be like "omg, what is she wearing?"

you could always try getting fitted for shoes. if you go to a higher end shoe store that has orthopedic shoes and that kind of thing, they will actually measure your foot and make sure you have the arch in the right place and all that. it's a little more expensive but totally worth it if you are working on your feet a lot. you have to invest in good shoes because if your feet feel bad, the rest of you will also. i've got a nice pair of birkenstock slip on sandals that are the only thing i can wear right now because my feet are so swollen. they are so comfy, but i'm not on my feet all day like you are.

I would go get a nice pair of sneakers. Maybe get a black pair so they kind of blend in with your pants and won't look awful with a pair of dress pants. Most sneakers have good support and good tread. Whatever you get, plan to spend more than you normally would.

I know this sounds silly, but wearing support panty hose really makes a big difference in how your legs and feet feel at the end of the day. When I waited tables, we worked long hours and what saved me was my panty hose. It costs a lot more than typical nylons, but it form fits to your skin and massages. TMI, but I recommend cutting the crotch out of them so you can breathe down there, or you may end up with yeast infections. I also wore a thin pair of footies under them so my feet didn't sweat.

Crocs are really comfortable, but they are kind of wide and I think a bit awkward to walk in. Not to mention really ugly.

yeah, the whole support hose thing would be a good idea. my doc suggested it to me for the swelling but i'm at home all the time and it's too hot. but i can see how cutting out the crotch would really help keep things cooler, lol! that's a smart idea.

Now the support hose. Where can i get those at? Walmart? I seen some on tthe internet, but they were 60$?!!?!?
