Burning Sensation During Sex
Posted: 07-20-07 09:15am

So when I have sex with my boyfriend, theres a slight burning sensation... especially when he pulls out. We use condoms and we use KY Warming Jelly. I think that it might be the jelly... I know that its only supposed to "warm on contact" but I really think that it might be the lube. ALSO, i have a "condition" called vaginismus. Its where my PC muscles spasm during sex and it makes sex very painful. ive been doing kegel exercises and today i decided to try my dildo out to see if it would hurt. it didnt really hurt but it burned a bit....

so does anyone know what it could be ?

oh. and its not an STD and its not a yeast infection. Smile

Do you use any hormonal b/c (especially an iud or the ring, but any might do it)? That could cause it.

Otherwise I would try to not use the warming kind of lube, just use a regular old faithful and see if that helps. And make sure that if you are going for a long time, you use more because it will wear off eventually.

Also, make sure the condoms don't have any lube themselves or spermicide, they sometimes do. And maybe try switching to natural condoms, not latex.

If you don't think it's any of the above, I'd go to the doc, because pain during sex can be a symptom of a lot of stuff. And I don't know how it would have to do with your vagismus.

the lube from some condoms my bf and i used before i was on b.c. irritated me alot, also we tried astroglide warming lube...i didn't like it at all, i didn't like the consistency or the warming effect...we used it all anyway bc it wasn't THAT bad, i just didn't prefer it...now if we use anything at all its just regular KY..no warming or nothing, its amazing Smile i love the stuff and no irritation at all
