I have been spotting on depo for about a
month now and I was wondering because I am
spotting... Am I still releasing an egg?
It's not really heavy spotting either and
I haven't had a period for the 4 months
i've been on depo.

I have been on it for 3 months and I have
gotten the same thing. It was really
heavy in the beginning like I was getting
my normal period and then it went to
spotting and it's been like that ever
since. My understanding from my doctor
is that it's normal. He told me that you
can get a lot of irregular bleeding for
the first 3-6 months and then it should
regulate out to either a light period or
none at all (for the few lucky folk). My
understanding is on birth control you
don't release an egg, but I could be
wrong, maybe it just is programmed to not
stick to the uterus. So I can't really
answer that.
