More Chandler News Posted: 07-20-07 19:26pm
I had little Chandler into the doctor
today and he is jaundiced. Poor little
man. However, his levels are high, but
well within the norm for his age. So, we
just have to keep watching him, and get
him lots of light and sunshine. They said
he could be yellow for the next few week
or few days all depends on how much light
we are able to get for him. He has been
sleeping so much because of it, but at
least I know thats why he is so sleepy. He
seems to sleep all day and then up at
night. I have to get his schedule switched
so that he will be up more during the day.
Wish us luck!
Aww I hope he's all better soon. My
daughter was jaundiced when she was born..
looking back at pics of her I realise just
how yellow she was! She also did nothing
but sleep when she was a newborn. Good
luck with the schedule.. He'll probably
get into a more normal routine as he gets
a bit older, but it might be hard at
first. Again, good luck to you!

is all better soon. you can get
ultraviolet lights for that also can't
you? i guess in the summer it's just
easier to get him some real sunlight. how

Hi girls,
Thanks for the advice. He had a really
good night last night. First night I
actually got about 4+ hours of sleep. He
is in bed sleeping again now and will
probably for about 4 hours. He woke up
last night at 12:15 for his bottle and
then stayed up for quite awhile so I just
layed down in bed with him cradled in my
arm and the next thing I know I was waking
up and it was 3:30, so I would say he just
wanted his mommy close and mommy was
exhausted!! Then I put him in his play pen
around 4 and he didnt wake till 6:10 for
another bottle. Such a good boy!!
He could go in for the ultraviolet lights,
but since his levels of jaundice are
normal for how many days old he is, they
said that it will resolve itself, but to
just watch him closely. So, thats what we
are doing.
Anywho, I am going to go back and sleep
for awhile .
when my oldest had jaundice we just kept
her in the sunlight alot and she was fine
in a week.

Thanks.. Just getting home from my folks..
Chandler is all nice and pink now Tho.. they called
and we are off to get more blood work
again tomorrow. Poor little guy. I hate
getting it done. Said that the blood work
was inconclusive.. however I am not sure
if thats the first blood work we had done
or what because the work from friday said
he was jaundiced and this is all over the
place i guess. I hate this. Anyways..
Little man is doing well now. I have loads
of pics on Facebook if anyone is
interested.
Take care..

Chandler is doing great now. His color is
back nicely and he is still on the mend.
Its all good. How is Bree doing? I hope
that she is doing well. Chandler is
snoozing right now. Soon time to wake him
up for his bottle and some evening awake
time or he will be up tonight!! He sleeps
pretty much through the whole night now
other than waking up for a bottle. So its
a good thing. Mommy has been getting lots
of rest because daddy gets up with him and
feeds him Gotta love that..
there are some advantages to bottle
feeding!! Hope your well. Take care.
