Multiple Sclerosis And Autism .... And Divorce Posted: 07-24-07 14:00pm
Hi,
My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and we have
a daughter with severe Autism. These last
few years, my wife's illness has
drastically affected her personality and
she's nearly impossible to live with. She
has become mean and abusive, among other
problems with her social judgment. Even
her family cannot stand to invite her to
social gatherings...
Anyhow, I've reached the end of my rope
and decided to end the marriage. But the
whole situation is a mess. medical bills
have devastated us financially... and we
basically only have our home's equity. My
wife wants custody of our daughter
(despite her significant physical and
cognitive limitations) and she wants the
house. She is not fit to care for
either...
Anybody go through this?
