Hello every one this is my first time on
this website. I have had epilepsy since I
was 16 and now I am 23 I actually just had
a seizure yesterday and I am recovering
today. It really frustrates me when I
have them because now I feel like a burden
on people mine have never been totally
been under control I usually have one ever
one to two years thank god I have never
been driving in a car when I have one I am
usually at home either sleep or just
relaxing and I know that driving isnt
everything but I feel so dependant when I
cant drive for 6 months after these
seizures I have two sisters that are
perfectly healthy no health problems at
all and I cant help but wonder what did I
do in this life or a past life that I am
being punished with this disorder .
And I also wanted to know is there any
foods or vitamins or excercises that I can
do to help keep seizures away if it is I
would would greatly appreciate it

I know how you feel. I have had seizures
since I was 14. My younger sister found
me in my older sisters closet the first
time I ever had one. She wouldn't come
near me for 2 weeks cause she was so
scared that I was going to have another
one. I got made fun of all the time at
school after that. I ended up changing
schools because the teasing was just to
hard for me. It got really hard once my
younger sister got her license before me.
I am now 21 and I still can't drive. I
have my permit but that's it. I always
wondered why my family was so healthy and
I had a medical condition. I was always
the one in the hospital, even before I had
seizures. I always wondered if it was
something that I did and god was just
punishing me for something. I son
realized that it was nothing that I did.I
am not married to the most wonderful guy
who is very understanding of my medical
condition. I really hope things are
working out for you
