On Cymbalta , Just Sttarted Xanax Xr Posted: 07-25-07 11:47am
hey guys.. been battling anxiety, and some
depression, with anxiety being the main
issue for some years.. well for the past 6
or so months i have been on cymbalta which
is.. ehh.. satisfactory... anxiety
decreased some over the last 3-5 months
and i was fine.. the past 3-4 weeks, my
anxiety has progressively increasing to
the point where its horrible.. (i feel it
might be problems in my relationship as
well as my new, more stressful job)..
anyway, i saw him a couple of nights ago
and told him that my anxiety ahs been
getting worse and worse and im having full
blown panic attacks at times and cant live
like this.. im on cymbalta 60mg... he
wrote me out a script for 30 1mg xanax
XR's for the next month with one refill.
few questions.. i was on xanax 1mg regular
release ones last year when i was on
effexor (a different doc) and they were
for the sporadic times that i had higher
anxiety, not just everyday usage.. i just
liked it because it wasnt something i
needed to take every morning, just the
type of thing where i would take a couple
times a week if i had the monster crawling
up my back. lol. well with the xanax 1mg
XR, i took my first one this morning, and
i still feel anxiety. its horrible still..
it feels like its breaking through whether
the dosage of the XR just is too low, or
it just sint the right med for me. (even
tho the regular release xanax worked good
on an as needed basis) now is this XR-1mg
stuff released 1mg ever 2 or 3 hours until
the 20-24 hours is complete?? or is it
just 1mg divided by like 24 hours? cuz if
thats the case, that would explain why its
not helping me.. that would be like
.0324545 mg per hour.. you get the idea. i
dont know if i should call him this
afternoon and tell him its not helping,
and what i should do, or have the XR dose
increased or what... please help guys, i
never try to ask for specific meds from my
doc, i always try to let them pick what
THEY think is better for me.. but i just
get so frustrated sometimes... advice?
info? please help all..
p.s. also feel like the XR's lose what
little power they have after about 8-10
hour mark. any feedback on that too?
