Why do you have to wait 6 weeks after
delivery to have sex again?
if you have no stiches and didnt tear and
are not bleeding anymore what would be the
risks in having sex?
just curious.. not sure where to post
this so here it goes.. any feedback would
be awesome, thanks guys!

hey vanessa. hope everythings going good
with baby and all.
i don't know the answer to this for sure
but i'm betting that if you are feeling up
to it and you are careful to take it slow
and gentle at first that there isn't
anything wrong with it. i think the 6
weeks thing is an average and just a
recommendation because that's usually when
you go for your post partum check up. if
you're making a quick recovery and feel up
to it, good for you, just remember to take
things slow and don't hurt yourself!!
but i'm not a doctor or anything so, yeah.
that's just what i think about it.

shes doing great..
and thats kind of what im thinking too..
I think if you are up to it go ahead. It
takes six weeks for your uterus to get
back to its normal size. Remeber though
even if you are breatfeed use protection
as you can get pregant very easily
especailly since you just had a little
one. By the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
HAve fun use lube if too dry and go slow
at first so you do not have any discomfort
and stop if you need. Your body will tell
you.

no matter how easy your birth or quick
your recovery, your cervix is
significantly open post birth.
The 6 week reccommended wait is for your
cervix to close back up there by reducing
the risks of infection.
If you feel upto it and decide to go for
it sooner make sure his widgey is super
clean!

could a condom cause infection to my
cervix?.. im just worried of doing
something that will make me sterile or
something.
I just waited 2wks to have sex after both
of my children. Once the bleeding stopped
than I was good to go. I couldn't wait to
sex again (the non-pregnant kind). I
didn't get any infections or anything. I
hope this helps.
Sorry, I just read my post and it said ''I
couldn't wait to sex again'' oh my god how
stupid do I sound. I meant to say I
couldn't wait to HAVE sex again. I just
didn't want anyone to think that I was
retarded

Hey Vanessa,
Just seeing this now.. I know that we are
both past the time when we can have sex. I
waited only 4.5 wks before we had sex
again and I was fine. Had to lube it up
and still do, but other than that it didnt
bother me much at all. I never got an
infection or anything from that. I do now
however have an infection again, but its
the same one that I had before while preg.
My doctor thinks that having the baby
triggered the Bacterial Vaginosis to
return, so we are treating it now.
Hope you are well as I have not been on
much and have not seen you around much
either.
