What are the chances of contracting Genital Herpes? Posted: 07-30-07 03:05am
What are the chances of contracting
Genital Herpes? I have had heterosexual
sex with 11 partners, three that were
unprotected. I was just wondering if you
thought I was a serious risk for Genital
Herpes.

Genital herpes is a highly contagious
sexually transmitted disease. The cause of
genital herpes is a strain of herpes
simplex virus which enters the body
through small breaks on the skin or mucous
membranes. Sexual contact is the primary
way that the virus spreads. Therefore the
possibility of getting the infection
increases if you have had unprotected
sexual intercourse.
