Negative Blood Test With Positive Symptoms Am I Loosing It?? Posted: 07-30-07 14:15pm
Ok so here is my story. I am 25 not ttc on
Ortho Evra birth control have recieved 3
negative urine tests and 1 negative blood
test. I still have symptoms though.
(headaches, breast changes, nausea,
bloating, mood swings, and vomiting.)
The first thing I noticed was that
changing diapers made me feel sick. I have
been working in childcare for years with
no problems. (my sense of smell has
increase - litter box, food, and other
random smells.)
My period was a little late, but I wasn't
too concerned until I threw up. -The next
morning I was bleeding- I thought it was
my period. (It lasted about 5 days instead
of 7 and I didn't have regular cramps.)
I took a pregnancy test. Probably too
early it was negative. I made a Dr. apt
anyways just in case because I was also
crying a lot for reason. I dicovered at
this point that I messed up the patch. I
began the patch free week to early.
The blood test came back negative too.
(She wants to retest in a couple of weeks,
just in case.)
I am still really moody, crying a lot, and
throwing up every night. I took another
hpt today. Once again negative. I am going
to take the blood test again, but I have
to wait.
Has anyone else had negative blood tests
and been pregnant, or could the mess up
with my BC have cause a hormonal
imbalance? How long to those last. I
really feel like I am going crazy. Any
advice would be helpful. I am arranging an
appointment with an OBGYN.

If you already had your period, odds are
that you are not pregnant. The hormones in
the patch could be giving you all of those
symptoms, even the shorter period. How
long have you been on the patch. It can
take up to three months for your body to
adjust to a certain hormonal birth
control.

I Have Been On the Patch For Over a Year Posted: 07-30-07 15:08pm
I haven't had any problems with the patch
so far. Maybe since I took the patch off a
week early, I threw off my system or
something. As far as the period, I am not
sure it was a period.
It was more brown colored; it was shorter.
I thought it was a couple days late, but
it was actually about a week early because
I started my patch off week at the wrong
time.

Sounds hormonal. Blood tests are not
false. Coupled with a negative hpt, you
can expect not to be pregnant.
