All babies are different and you shouldn't
worry unless you see signs that something
is wrong with him/her. I have heard of
babies rolling over at 8 days, but they
were heavier babies (around 10 pounds)
lol. Most roll over at 3 months However,
there is no set standard for rolling over.

the thing that I am concerned about is he
hits his head when he rolls back over, no
crying but it is a good hit.

Sorry I don't think you under stood what
my responce was. to the question.
."have any one heard of a 7 week old

I interpreted the question as a 7 week old
being able to do this rolling and I
thought she was concerned about the
ability of the infant being able to do
this.
I responded.. YES they can do it even just
days old however, mostly around 3 months
old. NOT to worry about the infant being
able to do this as far as flexibility goes
there is nothing wrong.
I wouldd. If your worried about him
hitting his head hard place him on a soft
surface.. Even a blanket with a thick
padding under him. However, I do think
that your baby will let you know if he's
feeling pain, but alot of babies do have a
high pain tolerance. If you're still
concerned talk to your doctor, and ask
questions about what else you can do, and
if this will cause any harm. Also there is
a doctor online you can ask too.
OH AND welcome to e healthforum!

every child is different and can go at
their own pace. wills rolled on his tummy
early and was concerned because of the
fears of cot death. i spoke to my health
visitor and she wasnt worried and said if
you see him do it in the night just turn
him on his back again

Thats what I said to about them going at
there own pace. At night most parents try
to get as much sleep as possible. Because
we all know that the baby will be up. SO,
I would just use BABY SLEEP POSITIONER...
that way you're not up all night worried
and watching
