Shorty123, are you home alone? You need to call someone to take you to hte hospital. The hospital can get you the help you need. Be it cleaning up the mess you've madewith yourarms or the depression you are feeling taht causes it. YOu need to get mental help hon. You are only 13.....I wish you were near, I'd come get you myself. I was diagnosed with depression about the same age. Don't listen to what others say that the hospital will not help you and that antidepressants oly mask the problem......I've beeno nthem for years now and I can cope with life. I no longer hate to be living and feel I was only taking up space. I have been in your shoes. And honestly I do still have days when I feel that way.....until others have been in our shoes, htey have NO IDEA of the way this makes us feel. You are someone special, you do not see this because of the depression, but htere are lots of us out here who will continute to instill this upon you until you get beyond it. Believe in yourself......you need help, please get it...Feel free to IM me anytime you wish! Cool

Your story kinda sounds like mine, except I never cut myself. I went threw this a lot one way I actually got over it is by finding something I'm good at (graphic design) & I have been doing it ever sense. Try finding something your good at & take your mind off everything. I would recommend drawing or writing stories because its like you can let your feelings out. I hope it works (:

Great Idea
Posted: 10-03-07 21:55pm

amanduhhbbyx brought up a great point. Doing some sort of activity can really ease up stress and help you become part of something. I've tried a lot of extracurricular activities and I'm also a fan of numerous other extracurricular activities. Pm me if you need ideas to get yourself started. Kyle, you're only 13, there's a lot to look forward to. Here's a few ideas:
1. Weight lifting (it made me feel strong and improved my self confidence, got me in shape, and gave me a positive outlet for bad emotions, but do pm me if you choose to do this since improper weight lifting habits can hurt you)
2. Running (you can do this anywhere, if you have a talent for running, improvements will come really quickly)
3. Jump roping (not really a sport, but you can add it to whatever exercise routine you use, good since its great for cardio/coordination and it is cheap to buy a jump rope)
4. Martial arts (boxing, wrestling, mixed martial arts, kickboxing, etc)-Good way for boys with high testosterone and lots of frustration (like myself) to let it out. Also improved my self confidence. The pain problem is the overwhelming number of scams. In fact, most scam martial arts centers are run by teachers trained at another scam center and they usually aren't even aware they are a scam.
5. Swimming-Relatively hard to find a place to train since pools aren't so common, however, if you like this more than anything else listed here, try it out, it could be the sport for you
6. Football-Team cooperation, strength gains. Problem is football can cause serious injuries (like torn ACL), football players can often act like jerks and bad football players may influence you, at high levels, football players are so heavy and bulky that it isn't really healthy.
7. Chess-Might sound dorky, but some people like myself are fascinated by it
8. Music (choir, orchestra, band)-Good way to express your feelings, personally, I wish I had joined band instead of orchestra (which I quit after 3 years) since band sounds louder
Well that's it for now, pm me for more suggestions!
