Hey yall, I'm 37 weeks prego and yesterday
my doctor told me that I am 1 centimeter
dilated. I am due August 20th, but doc
told me that she could be here at any
time! Probably sooner than expected since
I am already dilating! But I have done
some research on the net and it looks as
though a lot of women dilate earlier than
their due date. Doc even told me that if I
happen to be at 2 centimeters next week
they may even induce. What about yall? Is
it a common thing to dilate 3 weeks before
due date? Thanks!

I was checked at 34 weeks and I was
dilated to 1.5 already. It really doesn't
matter. Effacement is almost more
important anyways. Do you know what you
are effaced too?

I've heard of ladies walking around
dilated to a one, or two for 3 weeks

I was dilated to a 2 for over a month!
Doctor told me the same thing - he said,
"Anytime!" My daughter was a week+
overdue.
