Chronic Testicular Pain
Posted: 08-02-07 22:33pm

Hello all,
Looking for any insight into testicular chronic pain.
4 years ago I had a testicular torsion surgery and then a year later my left testicle discomfort became chronic. The scrotum gets flushed red (no inflammation) and quite hot, left testicle also seems to "pulse" blood and squirm more (contraction of cremaster muscles) and always has a discomfort to sometimes a severe ache. ALWAYS specifically flares up after sitting. Whenever I'd have internships for the summer or now that I work full time, it hurts. But while in school and not sitting for 8 straight hours a day it didn't hurt as much. I've had urologists look at me a million times and taken painkillers and antibiotics to no avail. Also had a small varicocele which I had embolized, which didn't change my symtoms at all but augmented them slightly adding pulsation in the buttock which I really don't care about as much. Is it possible that the sutures the urologist used in tieing down my testicles to prevent future torsion are causing this pain? Could it be a circulatory issue or neurological? (no back pain though) It's really affecting all areas of my life. So if you know anything please share. it would be much appreciated.
