i think it would be much cuter to have
finn wear that to the brunch my parents
are hosting the day after the wedding. all
the wedding guests will be there and i
think it would be cuter to see them figure
it out on their own, rather than us just
announcing it.
cute?
if i do that i hope he's walking by then.
it won't have the same effect if i have to
keep turning him around so people can read
the back!

Aw thats so exciting! I agree not to tell
them on the wedding day. You want the
focus on your wedding and people talking
about that not a baby - thats how I would
be anyway. Im not sure if I would want to
tell people a day/few days before the
wedding or afterwards, but just not on the
day.
That t-shirt is so cute! You could like
have all family around for dinner early
evening before finn goes to bed, and keep
him upstairs until everyone has arrived.
Then bring him down wearing that, not say
anything and wait for people to be like
omg you're pregnant!?
I doubt I'll have anymore biological kids,
but if I ever do I would love to do
something really special to announce it. I
remember telling my mum I was pregnant
with jay when I was 17. An ex boyfriend
had dropped off a bunch of flowers for my
birthday one morning (a month AFTER my
actual b-day - men), I was still in bed so
mum brought them upto my room and I felt
all hormonal and emotional, and burst into
tears over flowers! lol
She wanted to know why I was crying so I
told her "I think im pregnant". Her first
words were "Don't tell your dad" and she
left the room. We didnt say anything more
about it for days afterwards
Enough rambling, I hope everyones excited
for you both. Does your family know you've
been ttc, or will it be a big surprise?

Bridget I think thats the cutest idea! I
love it!! I only wished I had seen
something like that.
I would say definitely do it... I wonder
how long it would be before someone clicks
on!

morgan, it's going to be a huge surprise!
technically we weren't even ttc yet, we
going to wait until august (but we hadn't
told others that). we slipped up and had
sex once during my fertile time last month
and that did it!
i just emailed nick and he loves the idea.
i think it'll be nice to share with all
the family (my aunts and uncles and our
grandparents) and not just our parents and
siblings.
i'm sure it won't take long for someone to
notice. finn's always the star of the
show! maybe i'll have a sweatshirt on him
until everyone gets there, then i'll take
it off and let him run free to spread the
word.

That's a great idea!! There is no way I
could wait that long to tell everybody.
We found out on Dec. 15 last year that I
was preggo, we couldn't even wait 10 days
till Christmas to tell everybody. We
called everybody we knew ASAP to tell
them!!!

Awww! I love that idea Bridget! It's great
and better than just telling everyone. As
soon as one person notices, the rest will
be a domino effect!

Wow! I don't know how you can keep it a
secret for that long.
I think it is an adorable idea though and
I wouldn't have thought of it.

That's such a cute idea.
I wouldn't be able to wait to tell people,
but that's just me. I'd also be showing
by then too. I started showing very early
for Ava.

well that's what i really want to do but i
don't know if i can wait that long either.
i just got fitted for my dress today and
i'm hoping my body won't have changed much
by the time i have to wear it. i think
i'll be about 15 weeks at the wedding, so
maybe it's wishful thinking but i'm really
going to watch every single thing i put in
my mouth. there is no way i'm going to put
on nearly as much as i gained with finn,
especially since i'm still up 25 pounds
from before i got pregnant with him.
so yeah, where i was going with that was i
hope i'm not showing and i can keep it a
secret long enough to use the shirt!

did your mom go with you?
just asking cause maybe you could tell the
lady to leave just a little room just
incase you gain a couple of pounds.

i went by myself and i told the lady and
she said she would make it to my current
measurements and we'll go from there.
she's pushy and speaks with a thick accent
so it's hard to understand her and i'm the
opposite of pushy, so i'll let her do her
thing.
oh, and when she started the measurements
i found myself sucking in! then i was
like, "what am i thinking?! let it all
hang out!"
she won't start until i bring her a 50%
deposit so when i bring her a check next
week i'm going to beg her to leave enough
fabric so it can be let out if it has to
be. i don't know what i'll do if it
doesn't fit!
but i am seriously going to try to stick
to the 3-4 pound gain recommended for the
first trimester.
oh, and i forgot to mention it but i got a
good laugh out of your comment about my
mom. knowing her she would do something
like that! one day she insisted it was
chilly out and he needed to wear a jacket,
we get outside and it was like 80. her
internal thermometer is seriously out of
whack.
