Yes! I probably am pulling it out! :) I have had thyroid checked; its fine. But no b-12. I do take a b complex suppliment when I am stressed though. (don't think its working!). You know I also have had surgery--gallbladder removed because I had full feeling in tummy and strange pinching pain in liver area. But pathology report came back with no stones, and not disease. In fact, it was a very healthy and functioning gallbladder. I still have those symptoms I am dealing with as well. Ugh! I don't think they are related though. I am definitely a product of an unhealthy lifestyle though (poor eating, no exercise). I also home school six of my seven children so I am sort of stressed out a lot. But! I feel like I need to manage my health so that I am not a burden to my family. So I hope its never too late to become healthy! Thats my intention anyway.

Sulphur

I'm not sure but I think sulphur in your drinking water, (not trace amounts but relatively significant quantities) can cause this. :?

Burning Feeling On Top of Head
Posted: 05-25-06 07:01am

My symptoms started about 6 months ago. It started with cramps in my calves, palpatations, dizziness like walking on a boat (not vertigo), I have since started bp meds cuz my bp has been up. I sometimes get a really strange sensation in my head that goes away but after that happened I was left with a stiff neck and headache that doesn't go away. Now I have that burning feeling on the top of my head. I have been to every dr imaginable and have had almost every test you could get. It has been very scary and I am beginning to think it could be something viral. If anyone finds anything out could you share? Thanks.....I will too. I am beginning to think the dr's think I am nuts but I know what I feel they just can't figure it out!

I too have had this feeling for about 1 month now. It started after I had a neck adjustment from the chiropractor. I asked him about it and he said it indicates that I have a pinched nerve. It feels like its raining, like drops of water rolling down your face. It happened in my hands too. I also had a muscle spasm on the top of my head. It was tight and spasd for about 1 week. It felt like someone was constantly pulling my hair. I am also a hypocondriac too. I suffer from bouts of anxiety and panic attacks. I have been really good though until this happened. I have a nerve conduction test scheduled for next week. I really haven't found out what this could be from. Maybe nerves, hormones, tmj, ms? Hopefully we will find out soon. I feel like I am going to have a nervous breakdown!

Warm, Wet Tingling Feeling Throughout My Head
Posted: 12-07-06 22:18pm

I have been experiencing these same symptoms. I am a 39 year old woman with an underactive thyroid who has been a migraine sufferer since the age of 10. These "episodes" have abolutely no pain and the tingling sensation gets so intense I have been to the emergency room twice in the past 2 1/2 months. It is terrifying. I am a single mom of two girls (12 and 16) and I am so afraid this will happen while I am driving with them in the car, I was driving the second time it happened badly enough to go to the hospital. However, since then (2 1/2 weeks ago) the tingling/wet feeling has not gone away at all. It is consistently present, just sometimes I can force myself not to think about it and others I cant help but get anxious and scared because it gets so strong and moves throughout my head and face. I got nauseaus also and my vision was affected by it on both occasions. Now, on a regular basis, I pray a lot, because I hate that I have not been given a diagnosis-that is the worse part. They keep telling me it is an "atypical migraine"-there is no pain and I have never experienced sensations even remotely like this. It is new and scary. I am constantly fearful of it happening and needing to rush to a doctor, I think the worst, I can't help it. I have been praying a lot. It makes me feel better mentally, but I need answers for the physical. I was on neurontin for the "prevention" of my migraines for about a month before my first "incident" and then got off it. I found out that it has never been approved by the fda for the treatment of migraines-it is a seizure medication and cannot be stopped suddenly. I had to be weaned off it. They have done extensive blood work, ct scans and an mra-everything was normal. Then what is wrong with me and why all of a sudden am I experiencing these terrifying episodes. Some are saying anxiety-but I have never been prone to anxiety, although I am sure it is possible> but I would think if that was the case, something would have had to happen to trigger it and nothing like that has happened in my life recently that I can assume would cause it. I think the neurontin could have had something to do with it, because it was just about a month into my taking it when the 1st experience happened. Please let me know if anyone has had any similar experience or advice. Thank you and god bless.

Strange Headaches
Posted: 03-01-07 00:26am

I just got on this website to try and find some answers. I too am super scared something is seriously wrong with me. I feel a warm wet sensation in the top right part of my head it feels like a liquid seeping out inside my head. I also have pressure in my face and sides of my head. I have never had high blood pressure but for years I had sleep paralysis, and last year my episodes were very severe that it was like I was epileptic, so I am wondering did that impact by head any. I am so scared I might have a tumor or something. The feeling is getting worse and constant. It is all the time now. I am becoming forgetful and it is hard for me to just finish a prayer sometimes. My hand shakes a lot at times too. What is it???

haha ppl, you are so funny Smile it's a normal feeling of well-being(endorphines in a brain) after you've been stressed with headaches or anything else, same feeling as you experience pleasure when you put your cold legs in a warm water or go to sauna. , so relax. Razz

in additionh, if you feel nervous this time it means you have an anxiety, consult your physician(try remeron-really helps or 5htp, l-tyrosine in drugmarts) otherwise learn relaxation technics and you'll see the difference, stop bad habbits it's a killer. Good luck Wink

Wet Spot On Head
Posted: 12-10-07 21:11pm

I am 28 and have high blood pressure, diabetes and have frequent headaches. It wasn't too long ago that I had an MRI done due to an internal injury to the neck. The MRI to the head showed nothing. The CT to the neck and head showed nothing except a pulled muscle which affects the side of my head, Then all the sudden I started feeling a wet spot form towards the back of the head. Every time I reach up there and there is nothing there. I've dismissed it as possibly a nerve. I'm kind of annoyed with it, but i was very happy to see I wasn't the only one that was out there with this feeling. I guess my questions to everyone is: How long have you had this feeling? Confused

Maybe it is strange reaction to food allergies!
Posted: 02-26-08 22:56pm

Hello. I am a nurse, and firstly I want to say that none of you are crazy! I also have begun to have strange dripping sensation in my head, and at times my vision gets very blurry and I feel head pain and pressure like something popped in my head. I also however, get dripping sensation in other parts of my body, but mostly my head. Interestingly, some person posted that they have had this symptom after allergies to food. I have been tested and have allergies to most foods- I basically can only eat beef, chicken (no pork or shrimp) - no fruit, only vegetables I can eat are onion and tomato. I have hx. of low potassium due to my limited diet, and I've had severe allergic reaction to potassium pills. I have had severe burning sensations in the past - like my head, face, and body is on fire, also history of burning mouth syndrome- which was first believed to be psychological, but then when a psychologist got it, they investigated and found that symptom to be allergy. I first had dripping sensation in my head after I had fever of 105F that lasted for 2 weeks and I was hosp and they did every test and found no cause. The sensation then lasted about two days, it felt like oil or water slowly trickling down and feels like it's under my scalp near my brain- Now I have it and it's been going on for a month, seems to get worse at night, and at times I can't move my legs and at that time the dripping sensation leaves my head and goes into my legs accompanied with burning sensation. Several years ago I was diagnosed -by MRI as having beginning stages of Multiple Sclerosis- however, my doctor said the marks in my brain are no longer considered MS, but sequela (result) of migranes. I feel so fed up. I know as a nurse that sometimes people with these odd symptoms are considered mentally or emotional ill, I don't think so. Keep in mind that it may be from allergy - track foods and symptoms- and what you eat today can effect you tomorrow, so look not at only what you ate that day, but what you ate the day before. Also if it was MS, other symptoms would occur. Meds I am on: Hydrocortisone, fludrocortisone- I had adrenals removed due to hereditary disease, Synthroid - thyroidectomy from cancer, Ativan - 0.5 mgs at night, singulair, and Zyrtec for asthma and also pulmacort. I have a rare disease called Carney's Complex and it is hereditary - and I don't think these symptoms are from that. Lots of luck to every one. Think possible allergy to food! It is the only thing that seems possible to me. If you have burning mouth: you may benefit from a book written by : Maureen Kennedy Salaman -"Health Questions Answered" - it helped me and she writes on burning mouth syndrome. I also have severe allergy to Latex. Look at your work surroundings and environment- maybe it is not just food allergy, but allergy to something else. As a nurse, I am lucky to work in a clinic that is non-latex ( I made it that way). Whatever you do, don't give up. But I hate to tell you this- I think we all have to be our own doctor. Good luck - and I will pray for myself and all of you. Thank you. Nurse Mary

I'm 22 and have had headaches for about two years now and I did have then every single day from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep and they just came on all of a sudden, with burning sensation over your head pressure behind the eyes and so on, even the doctors couldn't help me and didn't understand what was going on, I had to be refered to a nerologist who gave me a MRI scan and found out that I had to small patches on my brain, something from birth but that was nothing to do with the headaches, I got told by the doctors that if I am taking co-codamol this can also affect your headaches ten times worser and to take synodol... But then something came on tv about Aspertame which can be a trigger to causing headaches/migrane Vertigo ect as it is really bad for your health, so I thought what halm can it do and took myself off it, with in a few weeks my headaches were practically gone, I could concerntrate more and my brain didn't feel foggy... Which was well and good till I had some pop that a lable I thought didn't have Aspertame in I drank and with in one hour my headaches were back, burning, and feeling sick which then I read the lable and looked it up on the internet, and that it came under a different name as ascelfame K (something like that). I but I do no that when I didn't take anything with Aspertame and Sodium Benozate my headaches were gone, and I told the doc and he told me for goodness sakes not to take any more??? which scared me!!! So I've cut myself off it all the time, theres more information that you might want to look up on it through the internet. I dont no if it will work for some people, jsut trial and error in this life...
