I've been bleeding every single day since
January of this year. Recently, I've also
been getting occasional pelvic pain with
it and the blood has tended to be dark
brown and watery. I've also been having
really bad night sweats.
At first, I assumed it was because of the
Depo contraceptive injection, but the last
one I had was about 2 years ago and I
didn't have any periods or bleeding at all
-that is until January 2007!
My pap smear came back abnormal at the
start of 2006 showing "mild
abornormalities", so went for another last
summer, which again showed mil
abnormalities again". I went for a
colposcopy in October 2006 - again with
"mild abnormalities!"
I went to my doctor about the bleeding
about a month ago who did an internal
examination but found nothing, although
said there was some cervical erosion. He
told me to ask the colposcopy doctor for
cauterization on my next visit. In
hindsight, I wonder why he didn't do a
preganancy and thyroid test??
Finally, I went to have another colposcopy
last month and they found a largish
abnormal patch which they took a biopsy
from. The gyn refused to do any cautery
until he knew why the paps were abnormal
and why I was bleeding. He also decided to
refer me for a scan, and I assume he was
referring to an ultrasound.
I now to wait 6 weeks for the biopsy
results and there's no news on when I will
be able to have the scan. It's so
infuriating!
Has anyone had anything similar or can
shed any light on the matter? I have no
idea whether I have HPV or not, although I
have had HSV Type 2 for about 8 years.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Are you spotting or you're having an
excessive bleeding? Seven months
continuous bleeding need serious medical
attention. The abnormal area on your
cervix can be lesion (pre-malignant or
malignant) that causes the bleeding. On
the other side, the pelvic pain and the
bleeding can refer to a
endometriosis(condition that affects the
inner lining of uterus).
There are other reasons for continuous
bleeding, too.
In young women the most of the bleedings
are explained with different benign
condition.
