Back Pain - subluxation of the distal third of the coccyx Posted: 08-07-07 21:15pm
Hi, i have recently been diagnosed with
subluxation of the distal third of the
coccyx. I'm wondering if this could be
directly related to my pregnancy a year
ago?

I'd think that delivering a child could
disrupt the coccyx, not to mention those
months of weight bearing. So my guess is:
yes.

It sure can! Those little ones sure do
take a toll onthe bod, don't they? I
think it should come out of their security
deposit!
Some helpful treatments could include:
Ultrasound
Iontophoresis
Oral steroids or anti inflammatories
Manipulation with a really good osteopath
(not pleasant!)
sitting on a doughnut cushion
Sitting on an exercise ball
Alternating seated positions every 30
minutes or so.
What are they going to do for you? I am
sorry this is a painful thing to have!
