Matty, even your second post explaining
everything was very difficult to read, so
you can't blame us for not being able to
understand everything you're saying.
I don't know what's going on. I'm thinking
you meant all along to say that you did
not want to go to a Planed Parenthood to
get tested for pregnancy because you were
afraid they would pressure you into an
abortion or something. That's what I'm
getting from all of this.
There is no need for anyone
to be snippy. We're trying to help you,
and you're trying to explain; lines are
just getting crossed somewhere.
So... from your original post: You don't
seem to be pregnant, however NOT getting a
period is something to worry about no
matter what. I'd go to a different ob-gyn
if you can or press your own ob-gyn for
answers.

bcuz when I got my bc they told me that
these should regulate my periods and on

spose to get a period according to the
nurse, so yeah Im like okay so I missed

Hey,
I got off of BC in Jan, Missed a period in
Feb and was regular form then on. Iknow
how ya feel. I may not have the exact
symptoms as you but I did miss a period
and thought I was prego. I went to my ob
and she said it was probably stressed. I
still kinda stressed after that. But No
joke right on time next month and Im
lettin you know now, my cramps were twice
as bad and I bled a little more than
normal. So just a heads up. And for
everyone else who is debating on
Pro-Life/Pro-Choice. Im pro-me. What I
do is what I do. What you do is what you
do. Its your life, your body, and your
future you have to live with. (I have
gone through with an abortion when I was
17. I don't regret, but I would have a 1
1/2 yr old right now, no matter what I
think about it everyday, so yet again
PRO-ME)

I am very sorry you feel that way, but to
many of us it is offensive, because as you
have been told, Planned Parenthood is not
all about abortion. But whatever, it's
your choice (I'm pro-choice by the way,
see how I feel you have the freedom to
make your own choices?) to dislike an
entire organization for one thing. Go to
whatever ob-gyn you want to. Planned
Parenthood was mentioned because they are
helpful, kind, and provide cheap and/or
free womanly health care for young women
who normally couldn't afford it. They
provide care for women who aren't even
sexually active.
Good luck, and I hope you get the help you
need.

what is my reading skills have to do with
your keys being jacked up?
By the way, if you don't like planned
parenthood it doesn't matter since it
doesn't affect me anyway. I'm just glad
that I can get free services and I don't
have to complain about high priced
checkups.

It's more likely due to coming off the
pills. They do funny things to women. Some
women have 2 periods in 2 weeks, others
miss periods for 2 months.

I just wanted to add a few things--
birth control will not affect the results
of your pregnancy test. Not even depo. The
pregnancy hormone that it detects is
completely different.
If you are not getting your period/are
having cramping and it worries you, you
need to get checked out by a doctor.
Planned Parenthood is simply a clinic that
offers low cost fertility services to
people who need them. They do everything,
including prenatal care, birth control,
just check ups, etc. If you don't agree
with them that's fine, but they are the
only really nationwide service who does
this for women who need low cost or no
insurance services, so many people on this
board recommend them because of the
financial reason.
Depo doesn't make people infertile. But it
may cause problems with bone density if
you stay on it for a long time.
Birth control is not bad for us, it is
simply a way to balance hormones that we
already have in our bodies. We do not need
a period to cleanse, because without
hormone fluctuations, we don't get a build
up of tissue in our uterus (which causes
our period). There is no reason to take
breaks from birth control, that really
hurts your body more because it gets all
confused!!!
Not only are there doctors who work at
planned parenthood, but nurses (especially
ones who work at planned parenthood) have
gone through plenty of education to be
able to tell us what is good or bad for
our body. Nursing school is not easy!
I'm done.

Ok Last Time... Posted: 08-13-07 07:24am
okay Look I understand its cool I know
what planned parenthood does and
everythign and thats fine I mean look if
im pro-life going to planned parenthood
would be hypocritical in my opinion I mean
your outting money towards it anywayz thas
my opinion I know how they operate and
what they do can we PLEASE stop talking
about abortions and ...stuff because thats
really not what this topic is about u have
ur opinions and I have mine and once I
start I wont shut up and I doubt you want
me to go on and on and on...anywayz
Indiana has other health clinics that do
not perform ..abortions...I jus need to go
one day its jus hard when U work full time
but when this kinda stuff happenes it
needs to be done
