Bleeding At 28 Weeks Posted: 08-08-07 14:52pm
my boyfriend & i were fooling around
before he went off to work on monday
morning. we used a vibrator & things
got a bit rough.
afterwards, i noticed that i was bleeding
bright red blood. it wasn't heavy &
didn't even stain the panty liner i was
wearing. i laid down in bed & fell
asleep for a couple of hours. by the time
i woke up, the red had turned to brown.
within a couple of hours of that, my
discharge had switched over back to normal
(a light yellow, white).
there was no pain. there was no cramping.
since monday, my baby has been kicking
like normal. her movements are strong
& my belly jumps like crazy. all in all, i feel
completely normal.
i was wondering, however, what could have
been the cause of the bleeding? and, is my
baby alright? i was debating over whether
or not i should seek emergency medical
attention, but i just moved to a new state
& i am currently awaiting for my
medicaid here to kick in. i also figured
that since i feel normal & my baby is
acting normal - i can wait the two weeks
until my next doctor's appointment. i have
an ultrasound in 12 days timing. (i will
most definitely be bringing this up with
my new doctor).
i read somewhere that deep penetration
&/or rough sexual play can cause the
cervix to bleed, since there is extra
blood flow & the cervix becomes soft
during pregnancy. is this true? and has
anybody else ever experienced this?

Helloo
I had slight bleeding like you described
at 10 weeks pregnant. Apparently it is
common if the cervix is hit during sex as
it is more sensitive with increased blood
flow etc therefore can bleed.
No more rough sex for me anyway, it is
scary.
Sounds like everything is ok with you
though and baby is still doing great but I
would still definetly mention it at your
next appoinment.

I didn't think you were supposed to use a
vibrator during pregnancy.

I was reading that "toys" are ok to use if
they are being used gently. I don't see
any difference in a penis as to a
vibrator. But then again i don't know just
something i read. I didn't have to ask
about it cause my sex drive is somewhere
in China right now
