Naive Pubic Hair ?
Posted: 08-08-07 15:31pm

Now that I've started seeing some things online, I'm feeling really naive. I've never shaved pubic hair more than necessary to keep it from showing when I wear a bathing suit. Now I find out that's considered gross. So am I really understanding that most people get rid of EVERYTHING? I'm just confused I guess because it sounds painful enough to shave more than just the front and edges (bathing suit lines) and waxing sounds even worse, besides the fact that many people have it done professionally and I don't really want anyone but my doctor or fiance down there anyway. I've just never made a habit of hanging out with friends totally naked or talking about my pubic hair, so I am feeling in a fog...

It sounds like you're taking the opinions and preferences of some people and applying them to everyone. That's just not the way it works though. People are all rather different from one another.

Some people remove the hair on the edges, while other people remove all the hair. Some people just remove pubic hair, while others remove hair from around the anus as well. Some people do it at home, other people have it professionally done. Some people leave the hair all natural without removing any of it at all, other people just trim it a bit.

It's about personal preference. It's all up to you. There's nothing gross about any of it. If you and your fiance are fine with things the way they are, then why bother worrying about what other people do?

Personally, I don't remove any body hair, not even a trim. None of my sexual partners or ob-gyns have complained yet. Laughing And if they did complain, guess what, they wouldn't be my sexual partners or ob-gyns anymore Laughing because I am not out to impress anyone. I am going to stick with doing what I am comfortable doing. It's my body, not theirs.

I agree with above. Although many people these days prefer all hair gone or most hair gone, some people just trim or shave enough that their bikini lines are gone. Some people just leave it natural. Do what makes you feel most comfortable! It shouldn't hurt to shave though... you can prevent ingrown hairs by applying some neospirin or after shave lotiona fter you shave. Maybe applying lotion for a while afterwards as well.

I just trim with an electric razor type thing. Shaving irritates me really bad so I only shave around the edges (clean up the bikini line)

Whatever you are comfortable doing is fine.

Lmao. It's just cause I'm single and on vacation. If I was going to wear a tank top or something I'd do the arm hair, but right now I don't really care who sees my southern fuzz... and boy is the crop growing well Wink
