The Drs assistant told me yesterday that I had a "missed abortion" aka a miscarriage where everything still stays inside. Anyway, they said they wanted me to go get an ultrasound to make sure. So I went assuming I had already lost the baby and right there on the screen was my babies heartbeat! I saw it!

I am almost 6 weeks and the heart beat was 104, and the u/s doc said that the beating was really consistent and strong which is what they like to see!

Finally I can relax a little.

i'm still wondering *why* they told you that... i would have been ripped!

i did have one, the reason they knew was because i was supposed to be 13 weeks and when they measured my uterus (just by feeling) it wasn't even close to what it should have been.

had you already had an u/s and not seen anything?

Sorry to repost the old post again I don't know what happened, I was using an Apple computer and I never use them.

Anyway, I have already had one miscarriage so they were watching me really close. The Dr was doing very early u/s and initially found nothing, and then one week later found only a sac but my HCG was really high at like 14000 so the Dr thought she should have seen more than just a sac at that point plus I could have sworn I was 6 weeks at that time but she said it looked more like 5 weeks. So she sent me to get an official u/s with a nice u/s machine. When the Dr did the u/s on me she just stole the machine from the u/s tech and had about 5 minutes before the u/s tech needed the machine back.

Both her assistant and the person scheduling the u/s said the Dr wanted an official u/s because they wanted to confirm a "missed abortion" Sad

So we went planning on bad news and we saw a heart beat!!!!
