so, my mom just got back from the doctor and had a pap, and her.. uterus is falling out? she has to have surgery and stuff. she's avoiding me, she wouldn't tell me, but my grandma did. didn't this happen to someone else here? they said it wouldn't be life threatening, so I'm not scared of that, I just don't really know what'll happen. Will she have to have a hysterectomy? hmmm

My older sister had this problem. They said her uterus dropped! They took it out throug her vagina so she wouldnt have scarring. This was last year. She went ahead and did a ful hystorectomy. Its better in the long run. She wouldnt be able to have any kids without her uterus so why not take it all out so she wouldnt have a period either.
She recovered in 2 weeks. I had to stay with her to watch her kids. That was hell lol

My mom had a scare one time. She thought she had cancer, and that she too would have to have a hysterectomy. She was pretty freaked out too because of bills and stuff. She said that the doctor told her that she would need to have atleast 3 months off. But then again that was a while ago. Not sure how things have changed in the last 5, or 6 years.

Thanks holly Smile

pardon me, but I find it kind of pathetic that I make a post asking for prayers or thoughts for my mother who has to undergo surgery, and a post about some idiot naming their kid superman, or some negative post down the line gets more replies than this one. I'm not trying to be annoying, but it really bugs me when i've been here for years and come here for support and find this. Thank you to those of you who did reply, I realize that the forum isn't busy like it used to be, but obviously it's busy enough for you to want to hit next.

if this had been the first time it happened, I would be holding my tongue, but I've been noticing it time and time again and It's bothering me now. I've also noticed it with a lot of my close friends who have been here for years, no wonder all of the oldies are moving on.

*sigh* now I feel better. Sorry, I'm just frustrated.

I haven't been on in almost a week since I've been back at work. Everything will be fine with your mom. I'm sure she'll be back to normal in no time. As far as not being able to pay the bills, like my mom says, "The Lord always provides". Ya'll will be fine.

I get annoyed too when I go out of my way to show pics of Ava or a video and I barely get any replies. That's why I don't do it often and I haven't been coming on when I do have a chance. It's driving me away too. It's not that I want people to say that she's cute or funny or whatever. I just get upset when it takes time to do that and no one comments and I know they're looking!
I think there was a post about this a while back.
Anyway, back to your mom. Everything will be fine! I'm sure it happens more often than we think.
I'm going take a shower now that Ava's sleeping.

i'm sorry, terra! i just saw this!

i'm sorry about your mom, but i'm sure she will be fine. where's kia, our resident uterus expert, when we need her?

why didn't your mom want to tell you about it? just let her know you'll be there for her and i'm sure you'll do anything to help her out while she's recovering.

i've heard that healing from a hysterectomy (if that's what she ends up with) is a lot like healing from a c-section, so after a couple weeks she should be back on her feet.

keep in mind that this place has been seriously dead lately and your friends may not have seen this yet.

Thank you Smile and I know she'll be fine, it's just stressful, she's my mama and I don't want anything to be wrong with her lol but thank you.

and I'm sorry for being crabby earlier, I just have a lot going on and needed to vent, and this was bothering me so I guess I just decided to let loose here. I know it hasn't been busy lately, and it's not even about this post, it's just every post (or almost) gets 6 or 7 replies and over 100 hits, and I do try to make a point (except lately, since i've been busy) to reply on a lot of posts, so I just feel like it should be returned. I could see if it was something random and silly, but this is important to me. Oh well, I'm just moody lately lol but thank you. and I love you b, thanks for the reply! and bratz, she didn't want me to know probably because she didn't want me to worry, she's silly lol

and yes, it's now!

I am so sorry! That would be scary especially since your mom is avoiding you about it. I am so glad your grandmother told you. In a few days once you mom has had more time to think about everything, I hope that she will tell you more.

Please keep us updated on what is going on with her.

I am sorry the dates on the posts were showing up 2005. I am sorry to hear this.. Are you and your mom usually pretty close? Moms are funny like that they worry so much about us, but when it comes to them they don't want us to worry. I understand. Perhaps you could talk to your mom and just tell her you know that she's been avoiding you and just let her know that you will support her. You could also just show her a little extra love.. I hope that you're ok too... You must be worried too. I am so sorry.

I'm not really worried, obviously I don't want her to go through surgery (okay, that part does worry me) but I'm doing okay. This is better than thinking she had skin cancer lol

But she's not avoiding me anymore, she wouldn't tell me at first, but then she called people and told them when I was right there, so she knows that I know and we've been talking about it. It's gonna be okay, I just feel bad for her. but itll be okay. thanks for the replies guys.

I'm sorry terra, I didn't see this. I haven't been watching the forum as closely as i use to, or bothering keeping up to date on topics because of some of the same reasons you mentioned up there. This place really is different now...

I seriously hope your mother is okay, but I'm sure she will be. It is always scary though to have stuff like that happen to people around you.

I know my one friend after she had her baby said something that sounds like that happened. I'm not sure if they are the same thing, but she said something insides started coming out... or something. Wow, I'm not doing good explaining myself here. Anyways, it was rather simple for her to have fixed and really the only incovenience for her was going back for check ups. I know she didn't have to have surgery though and she can still have babies... so I guess it's not the same thing.

Just know I'm thinking about your family, and you can always talk to me for anything.

thanks tanya, & i agree, it really has changed. I haven't been on much either lately and it isn't bothering me like I thought it would be.

I remember saying I'd be on here until I was an old granny, heh, we'll see within the next couple of weeks.
