Worried About My Brothers Gf Posted: 08-09-07 15:44pm
My brother's girlfriend recently found out
she was pregnant. She was not even late
for her period and was in the E.R. due to
cramps, which turned out to be cysts on
her ovary.
My main concern is that although the
doctor told her she was pregnant nothing
was seen in the ultrasound and the doctor
seemed worried. Is this usual for that
early in pregnancy (4 weeks)? Does the sac
usually become visible later on?
iv elooked online at ultrasounds and on 4
and 5 weeks one its very small er dot so
to speak. so im not sure did they see
anything at all even a lil dot?

It may be too early to see anything. Have
they scheduled her for another us?

to talk to her a little later. They did
have specialists come ni to check out her
tubes, etc to see if they could locate it.
Maybe I can get some more info from her
oh ok , i wasnt sure , i wish her the best
of luck and hope all is well

Thanks. I am pretty worried. My brother
is elated that she is pregnant and I know
it would hurt them both if it turned out
badly.

Unfortunately, she miscarried yesterday.
They are both doing well and have decided
not to try for another until they are
ready (were not really trying with this
one but were still excited).
Thanks for all of you responses everyone.

Apparently it is pretty common, especially
so early in the pregnancy. She had only
gotten less the 5 days past her missed
period and she didn't know until her
doctor told her in the er when she was
being treated fr ovarian cysts.
