My friend died 6 months ago without some
exact diagnose. Since her parents refused
a medical research after her death the
true diagnosis left unknown. So I am
interested if someone is familiar with the
following symptoms and which disease she
might have died from.
She was 20 years old when she died. Since
I have known her she was suffering from
mild anemia. Non of the medications helped
to improve her anemia. 2 years before she
died she start having low grade fever
lasting around 10 days and then going
away. Around 6 months before she died,
something like a tumor appeared on her
leg. After the biopsy, the doctors said
that it is not a tumor. That thing was
going bigger until it went in opened
wound. A short after her whole body was
covered with such wounds. The first
diagnosis was autoimmune hepatitis and she
was put on cortico-steroids. But there was
no improvement. Her legs swelled a lot.
When she was hospitalized her internal
organs started to fail and she had very
high fever.
The doctors could not find the exact
diagnosis, but they were sure that it was
some kind of autoimmune disease. It was
not leukemia or some kind of tumor. Days
before she died she developed high anemia.
When the doctors made her a transfusion of
the blood, her blood coagulate and hours
later she died.
