Single Parent: Long Forgotten Cases, Child Support Posted: 08-12-07 18:38pm
My oldest son who is 28 yrs old now, never
recieved a dime from his father. His
father has since married a girl who had a
daughter and then had four more girls with
her and to this day takes care of them. He
never acknowledged his son. I had
remarried after that divorce, to someone
who genuinely loved my son and my son just
started calling him dad on his own. My
son's biological father was doing things
that are unmentionable at this time and so
it was agreed by my husband and I that
since my husband joyfully took financial
responsibility, we went to court to
dismiss court ordered child support which
I have never recieved to begin with.
Eventually I divorced again and have
always needed that income and I feel that
I should have never had the right to deny
this for my son. This was in 1987. I found
out where my son's biological father
lives, and by the way, he even had the
brass to find us and stopped by for a
visit. He doesn't know that I have his
address. Is there any hope in getting
anything at all out of him for my son who
could sure use it now?
