Hello everyone, I would like to have some opinion on a medication called Daktacort, What is Daktacort skin cream, lotion, or ointment? What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine? What side effects may I notice from using Daktacort? Is it an effective medication?
I only know that it is use to treat yeast infection...

What are you trying to treat?
If you think you have a yeast infection and you have never had a yeast infection before, you should see your doctor first to rule out anything else.

Daktacort is an anti-fungal and hydrocortisone, it is not normally used to treat yeast infections. It is usually used for athletes foot, thrush, and similar problems. I wouldn't put it anywhere near my vagina lol. The packet in the medicine says not to use on genitals unless instructed by a doc.

It contains hydrocortisone (steroid reduces inflammation and itch) and miconazole (anti-fungal, found in many yeast infection medications).

There are over the counter medications specifically meant for yeast infections, and I'd use that instead just to be safe. Unless your doc says differently.
