Ex Cutter!!! But I Developed Someting New Posted: 08-14-07 13:41pm
I used to cutt my self, but I stopped.
Mostly because my bf said he would leave
me if I didnt. I havent cutt in 2 years.
The only problem is when I get mad ill
punch walls but only because it cuases
pain, Ill scream and not be able to stop,
i dig my nails into my skin just untill it
hurts then I stop.
I think is my body's new way of coping, I
know I need help, and I've asked to see a
therapist. I feel guilty when ever I do it
but I cant stop.
Well i gotta say its good you asked to get
help, my husband was the same way with my
cutting , he threatned to leave if i cut
again, there have been a few times he was
away and i got really upset and didnt know
what else to do so he was sorta
understanding. seeking help is the best
thing you can do, they can help you open
up about your feelings and show you
different ways to express them rather then
causing pain to your body etc.

well I have asked my mom whos a therpapist
if I could see one...but she hasnt done
anyting. My doctors toled my mom I should
see a therpaist since I have what they
call a long term "illness" I degenerative
arthritis in my jaw very painful, but im
getting surgery soon to correct it. Its
not really an illness though so i dont why
they would say that.
But do you maybe know a way I could talk
to my bf about it so he understands how Im
feeling, I dont want to scare hi though.
yu know?
Mostly you need to explain to him the
reasonings behind why your doing it like
how you feel when you are doing it. So if
anything he can help you try to avoid
situations where you might want to do some
harm to yourself. how old are you? I dunno
if its possible to try and call and get a
therapist yourself or something. Because i
feel that that is very important so you
can find other ways to cope with your
emotions rather then harming yourself.
that sucks, hopefully your mom will listen
to your dr and get you set up with a
therapist. i dunno if theres a way you can
call your dr to have them talk to your mom
and set it all up for you.

If your mom wont do anything about getting
you in to see a therapist then you should
do it yourself. I went through the same
deal when i asked to see a therapist for
my depression, i ended up going to see one
after i got to college, as it was the only
way i was able to get help.
If your parents wont help you get help,
do it yourself, especially if you are
serious about getting help.
