Still Possiblitly of Having Gallbladder Out ? Posted: 08-14-07 14:12pm
about 3wks ago, i had HORRIBLE stomach
pains for a little over a day. i couldnt
walk, talk, lay, ect. it was so bad. when
i would lie down, shooting pains would go
up to my right shoulder.
well, my dr sent me to have an ultrasound.
the results came back
1. mildly echogenic liver
2. thickened gallbladder wall and edema
(3.2mm w/ tiny adjacent adema, no
gallstones)
my doctor said this was probably the cause
of the pain.
about 2wks later, i went for a hida scan.
that came back normal, and had a 65%
ejection fraction (normal range).
since then ive been having random pains,
nausea, dizziness, cold sweats, ect. (the
pains usually consist in my upper ab, and
right side below ribs, my upper back and
right side.
i DO have an appt w/ a surgeon on thursday
to see what they suggest.
my question is, is it possible they may
still remove my gallbladder if the hida
scan came back normal? and if it came back
normal, why am i still having these pains?
