So the next question is....

Describe your typical weekend..........

My weekend, and i mean every weekend sadly consists of working. I work at a casino, and weekends are the busiest for us. So MY weekend is Mon, and Tues lol

I get to sleep in on either Saturday or Sunday. My DH takes one of those mornings for himself to sleep in. If i am not teaching, then a typical weekend starts with an exciting round of laundry washing! Next, comes the bread bake off. Lunch and naps for the kiddos, and if I am lucky, a nap for me too! Afternoons usually include a bike ride, hike, trip to the park, etc.

Sunday morning begins with an early trip to the grocery store whilst the pious are praying at church (Sunday is Heathen's day at the grocery store!) Then back home for a full day of National Public Radio and gardening. Car Talk, Prarie Home Companion, Speaking of Faith, Splendid Table, This American Life and living on earth. A beautiful dinner while listening to "Brazilian Fantasy" on the Jazz station and a glass of wine with my DH after the children are in bed.

Once every month or so we are lucky enough to get a sitter and will go listen to my brothers swing band play and get a little dancing in.

What can I say, we are hellions!

This summer has been packed with visitors every weekend, or we have gone away for the weekend. It is amazing how many people want to come visit you when you live at the beach!

But any other weekend is spent on our boat. (If it's nice) We go fishing or just putting around on the intercoastal. We usually either have my parents or my brother and sil over for dinner or we go to one of their houses.

Other than that, we rarely go out with friends and if we do, its on Friday and then we usually stay in Saturday.

We turned into boring people when we moved down here

Saturdays during the summer I go and teach music lessons or do an art show. Sat. evening is "game night" with our friends; we get unsober, and play Scrabble or boggle or Scattegories or something, end up watching SNL then...Star Trek. Reruns are at 1am on Saturday nights. Sunday is a rehearsal day for music, and then Sunday night my bf and I have our "date" night-we eat at either the Chinese or Indian buffet.

Wish we had a boat, though.

Hubby Keith and I go to the lake and camp. we have a boat and we fish and sit by the fire. During the day we read I cross stitch and we grill out..
Relax.. We both work full time..

weekends same every time sat go shopping for hopuse and run errands go home and clean and then swim fix meals do laundry you name it i do it boring huh.

I sleep in on Saturdays. Sometimes, I get up and walk up the street to the grocery and buy some bacon so I can make myself bacon and eggs. That's rare, though. I usually have a bowl of cereal, clean up the house, do a puzzle while I watch my Golden Girls DVDs. After my husband comes home, we go out or go to our parents.

On Sunday, we sleep in, maybe grab some breakfast at Cracker Barrel, and spend the day cleaning or watching TV. Then I cook dinner and we eat together and go to bed.

i'm boring

Saturday morning during term time I go to band (when I can get out of bed early enough) and that finishes at 12. I come home after that and do some chores around the house then maybe go into town for a bit in the afternoon or go to boyfriends house. Saturday night we either go out somewhere or have a night in, and Sunday I wake up a bit late watch rerun of Hollyoaks then go to work, and the night we usually meet friends in the pub.
I prefer weekdays.

My weekends I stay up really late Friday and Saturday and sleep in sat and sun. Fridays nights we go out to dinner with our AA friends and hang out. Then the rest of night we usually hang out with one of our friends. We go to the movies, work on the Cammaro, go swimming, have a BBQ, or just hang out with my lil bros or his family.

Saturdays same thing, we hardly are alone for very long. We are usually out with friends. Each weekend is different.

Sundays are very lazy. Laundry and house cleaning. We rent like 3 movies and eat and watch movies all day. Then make dinner and got to bed. Life is full. No kids either so it makes life simple.

Hm, weekends.

Well, the first full weekend of every month, I go down to a christian camp called Vanderkamf. There, myself and about 50 other people dress up as medieval/fantasy character like elves and warriors and things, and then we run around smacking each other with weapons made out of foam. This is called Kingdoms of Novitas, and it is a boffer LARP. Boffer is the name for the foam weapons, and LARP stands for Life Action Role Play. It's like Dungeons & Dragons in real life, and lasts for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Every other weekend (not Novitas ones though of course) I go with about 20 different (some the same) friends on the campus and we all dress up as vampires and do the Vampires: the Masquerade LARP for one night.

The one or two weekends a month that I'm not doing either of those is usually taken up with other club activities. We're... crazy active.

If one of Rowan's grandmothers watches her I go and sleep at Nathan's house (if his silly band doesn't have a show). We play super nintendo, or gamecube or we watch movies and Home Movies reruns (best show ever). If we are adventurish we go out behind his house and sit by the train tracks and watch them pass or walk the tracks. Yeah we're losers. If I stay home and he comes over we cook and eat. We play our favourite Man Man songs, me piano and him melodica. We just do whatever I guess. If I've got nothing else to do on weekends I'll take Rowan and get on the bus and go all over town staring at people and eves dropping. In July we mentioned how great it would be to just take off with no real plans and go somewhere we've never been, then did that within the next 35 hours. We went to Niagara Falls with just a loaf of bread and some peanut butter, some cash, and lots of cigars and cigarettes. That was just one weekend though, normally I don't do anything exciting.

I go to a nudist camp!

If its nice and weather permits, we are out riding motorcycles somewhere. We ride up to the mountains and wander through the town shops or we may ride through a couple of counties to a lake site. Just get out amongst our friends and ride motorcycles! If its not nice out, we hang at home or visit with friends! Weekends are for FUN!
