I don't know much about miscarriages...I
am 21 but don't know as much as a 21 year
old should I think. I am getting married
in july, and have only been intimate with
my fiance... But I have a question...
How do you know if you have miscarriaged?
I have had to be on birth control for 2
years do to complications with ovarian
cysts. But since I started the pill, my
period has always been normal. Always
starts on thursday of the last week of my
cycle, always ends on sunday. Yesterday
(tuesday) I had a very bad pain in my
ovary area, where I have had problems
before... I went to the bathroom and I
lost some blood. I have never done that
before. I am still bleeding. My normal
period should start tomorrow, but it kind
of freaked me out that after two years it
started early. Was I pregnant and had a
miscarriage or am I freaking out over
nothing?
Any replies would be very helpful!

Hi penguin this is mommy in sac. I read
your question about a possible miscarriage
and it reminded me of something that
happened to me when I was 22, it was
shortly after I got married. I was having
pain on my lower right side and a few
moments later began to bleed. I actually
thought that I might have miscarried too
so I called my doctor and she told me to
go to the hospital if the bleeding was
signifficantly heavier than my normal
period otherwise I was probably just
starting my period early. She asked me if
I had missed any of my pills recently and
I had. With the comotion of planning a
wedding I forgot and took them late a
couple of times. She said this is called
break through bleeding and that the pain
was probably just cramps caused by the
sudden hormonal change. I don't know how
severe your pain or bleeding was and I
have not had a history of ovarian cysts
either. I think that maybe you should go
to your doctor just to be safe and this
should help ease your mind as well. I
hope that you did not have a miscarriage
but if you did don't worry, miscariages in
early pregnancy (6 weeks or so) rarely
cause fertility problems later. I hope
this helps!

Thank you so much. You're probably right
because I did miss a pill this month... I
paniced because i've missed pills before
and never had this happen before, but that
makes sense. I'm kind of going through
the same thing... Work has been nuts, and
with the wedding and school and everything
else, I have been way stressed lately, so
it could be stress related also. It's
good to know someone else went through the
same thing. I have my regular doctors
appointment soon anyway, so unless it
doesn't stop on time I will probably just
wait until then to ask her about it.
Thanks so much! :d

I had a miscarriage several years ago.
There was alot of blood and tissue I lost.
I don't think what you had was a
miscarriage. You still should go see a
doctor with your history of ovarian cysts.
Good luck!

how far along were you in your pregnancy
when you had the miscarriage?
