I just found out today I was pregnant, I had two pos. Hp tests. I am starting to worry, last week before I knew I was pregnant, I had dental xrays (routine). I wore a lead apron, but I am still concerned. Anyone know anything about this. I just hope I didn't hurt my baby.

Also, I can't believe how fast I got pregnant. I stopped the pill and must have gotten pregnant about two weeks later. I hope getting pregnant this soon does not harm the baby either. We didn't mean to get pregnant this quick, I wanted to wait till everything evened out more (periods, etc).

I want to do everything right for the baby.

From what I read on the internet, the dental xrays are very low in intensity compared other xrays and very focused compared to like a chest xray. I will call my md tomorrow to set up my first prenatal appt.

Boy, still can't believe this is happening to me!!

Ok calm down, I think as long as you are not that far into the pregnancy you should be ok. My sister freaked out because of the same exact thing. But she was fine. Go to a doctor adn just let them know to be sure. It was a mistake so hopefully it all works out! Good luck!

Hi, I also think the x-ray should be o.K. So don,t worry about it. My husband and I also got pregnant soon after I quit the pill, but everything seems allright. Im 14 weeks along and things are good except my blood pressure. So take care and enjoy.

Thanks guys. I talked to the nurse at the doctor's office and she said it should be okay. Sometimes people have to get dental xrays during preg. Like if they have an abcess or need a root canal, etc.

Now, I am having some cramping, they assured me that was normal. I thought I was miscarrying. It scared me, sounds like from talking to others, they think the same thing. She said it was a common thing.

I go next week to the doctor and will learn more. I am getting sooooo excited about this.
