Going Off Ortho Tricyclen Lo Posted: 08-17-07 09:51am
If I were to go off Ortho Tricyclen Lo, do
I discontinue use after taking my 7
inactive pills, or do I stop after taking
my last active pill? I would think it
doesn't matter if I take the inactive
pills or not, and I'm thinking perhaps not
taking them might help regulate my period
quicker, but I want to hear what other
people think/recommend.
Thanks!

It wouldn't matter if you took the pills
or not. It wouldn't effect your period in
any way, either. The inactive pills don't
bring your period on, they just remind you
to take pills!
I'd just throw them out if you're done
with it.

it doesn't matter. The inactive pills will
induce period and stopping after the
active pills will induce period too. Since
inactive pills on OTC lo don't have
hormones, stopping at the last active pill
and stopping all together is basically the
same.
