Right where do i start! As you may have read my last post about me losing a watery loss on the saturday 11 th august dueing the night and then getting tons of irregular braxton hicks on the sunday, monday and tuesday i finally caved in and cried my eyes out to Alan on the phone because i was in so much pain he said to ring the doctor's and see if any one would come out and see me so i did and the nurse said she would ring the hospital because i had been ringing them since sunday every day because i was in pain and i could not walk either i was sooooooooo uncomftable and she said she would ring me back, well she did and the hospital said for me to go in (at last!) this was at 5pm and to take my over night bag in case. So we got there she checked me out and then said your 7 cm dilated!!!!!! I was like OH MY GOD no wonder i was in so much pain!!! So then i got transferred to a delivery room and because my waters had broke so long ago they tried to prelong my labour as i had to have anti biotics in me for 4 hours for the baby due to my waters being broke for so long. And then i had some more anti biotics at midnight and at this point i was still only on gas and air then about 2am she checked me again oh she did pop my second waters earlier so when she checked me at 2am i was only 8cm!! Then i started to cry and decided to have pethindine in my leg and ouch that hurt then the contractions really came on oh the pain was bad i had to wait half an hour for my injection to kick in!! When she had checked me she had to pop my waters AGAIN because my baby had moved and there was more water in her way.
And that really helped so then after an hour of pushing i had to be cut and she popped out and my little baby Courtney was born on 15 th August at 5.33am after 14 hours of labour and we have been so busy and she is beautiful and i will post pic's of her when i can and we are a very very happy mummy and daddy
