Do You Ever Catch Your Psychiatrist Or Nurse Lying to You?

I do it almost every visit, I will learn as much as possible online and then go ask them questions about or pertaining to what I learned and they will completely lie to my face about it. It's horrible.

I believe it, they're often part of the scam, and they take you for a dummy. They're the ones with PhDs and all they can do is prescribe pills, but they think you're the stupid one. Mind you, I have a good psychiatrist, I have to give him that. He still can't do much for me, though.

Well, wait a minute, there are different ways of thinking about everything, and docs and nurses don't know everything.

Can you give us an example?

I don't want to defend your doc &/or nurses, but I do know that people are quick to assume someone's lying to them instead of just having a different perspective/knowledge base or whatnot.

And honestly, after working in a psych unit I have to mention that frequently the patients thought we were lying to them when that simply wasn't true-it was a manifestation of their illness.

Yeah, here is an example.

I asked if my pills were bad for me.
They said no.

This is so pointless to talk about.
Forget it. Nothing will ever come of it.
Im beginning to believe that nothing good will ever happen.
And never has.
