Well it all started last friday around 530 pm and i started to have contractions. Matt and i went to the hospital and found out i was 1 cm dialated and that i could go into labor that night or the day after.

Early sunday morning and 520 am i started having contractions and they were about 7 min apart. So matt, matt's sister tammy and i headed to the hospital. The contractions started to get stronger and were one after the other with hardly any time in between, so lets just say very painful. When we got to the hospital i was about 3 cm dialted and only 20 mins after i was 4 cm. It seemed like forever when i was waiting for my delivery room, I think we got into one around 8 or 9 am. At this point i am begging for the epidural cuz the contractions were coming on so fast. While the nurses took their sweet ass time getting the epidural I remember thinkining wow caca this hurts a lot more than i thought it would lol. So epidural came around 1030 am or so and it was the best feeling ever. i was able to relax and most of the pain was gone. The only crappy thing about the epidural is that it makes your legs numb and kinda itchy. after they gave me the epidural they checked and i was 10cm dialted, but the babies head was still too far up to push. At around 1pm or so the epidural started to wear off and i could feel every contraction and they were like a minute apart and the worse pain i have ever felt in my entire life. I had to leave this world and tune out everything and everyone to be able to cope. But my legs were still numb. They tried upping the epidural but it didnt take. So then doctor decided to give me oxitocin i think it's called to make my contractions longer to bring the baby down so i could push. This made the contractions even stronger than before. Finally around 5pm the doctor made me start pushing, but i simply could not push cuz my body was numb from all the epidural and i was absolutely exhausted. My blood pressure started to drop and the babies heart rate started to drop so the doctor decided to use the vacum and the baby was born around 5:20pm. I must say this was the most happiest and relieving feeling i have ever felt. Ans Matt was great in the delivery room, he didnt faint or nothing lol. So baby seth was born 8 lbs 5 ounces and 21 inches long.

Even though labor was really hard and hurt beyond belief i would do it again, because i am absolutely in love with my baby. But i will say for the record that mothers who say that you forget the pain as soon as he is born is full of crap, i still remember it like yesterday, but well worth it lol.

Seth is doing great, i'm doing well. A bit sleep deprived and overwhelmed but doing great otherwise. Seeing matt with the baby has made me love him more if it's possible, he is doing great with seth.

And that's been my exciting week...

Awww!! Congratulations!!! I know what you mean about the contractions being back to back from jump street. I had a very intense labor as well!!

I know what ya mean about remembering the pain. I didn't have an drugs, and I STILL remember the pain! ANd it's been 16 months!!! hahahahahha!!

It's crazy that I have to do it all over again in January!!

Reguardless of pain, seeing your baby is the most satisfying feeling in the world!!
