Hi, I used to have a condition for about 6
years that is called Globus Hystericus,
which is fear of choking. I could never
eat anything that had to be chewed. I
have been well now for 15 years, but
recently it seems like it is coming back.
It is a little different this time. I
fear that after I chew and swallow my food
it will come back up and choke me. My
question: Is this possible even if I chew
very well? I have gerd and have been
taking aciphex for 6 months, other than
that I am healthy.
