Hi-
I am pregnant and I was taking rhinocort
because I was told it was approved for
pregnancy. It is class B. I had no idea
about drug classes or anything at the
time. I quit it when I found out it could
have any side effects. My OBGYN knew I was
taking it and did not tell me to quit. I
had a 19 week ultrasound that looked good
and I quit before this. But, I was
wondering has anyone else taken this and
were there babies ok?
I am very concerned. Also, what is the
likelihood of something going wrong after
week 19?

if your OBGYN was aware of it and didnt
feel concerned then you and your baby
should be just fine! also if you had a
normal u/s done then everything is 99%
ok!!!!
after the first trimester the chances of
missacrriage decrease tremendously
is that like a nasal spray or something?
im not sure. my dr when taking zyrtec and
such told me to stop in the first
trimester but once i reached the 2nd
trimester i could resume taking it, you
can always double check with your dr if
you feel you need it that bad. Class A
drugs are the safest, class C they will
not give you when pregnant unless the risk
towards the baby is low compared to the
risk of you not taking it, i think that
makes sense lol . i was trying to write it
so it makes sense not sure if that came
out right.
