Question

I asked this in the Pregnancy forum, but nobody answered me. Thought I might get a response here.

I'm 6 weeks pregnant, and am having problems with constipation already. I go like every 4 days right now. Well I went earlier, and there was a little bit of light blood in it. Is that okay or is this something i need to worry about? I'm terrified of having a miscarriage.

I'm going to call my doctor when I go on break, but I want your experiences as well.

I was constipated for my entire pregnancy. I would go once a week if I was lucky and I'd be so uncomfortable at times I could have cried. When you are getting close to having the baby it gets easier (or it did for me).

Drink lots of water, eat lots of roughage (salads, greens), try to eat raisins, bran muffins, etc. Good luck.

and if you were haveing a mc then you would have cramping and bright red blood like a period almost.

I don't have any pain or cramping at all. I am taking prenatals though. I really pushed hard to get that little bit to come out. The blood was so light I barely noticed it.

I looked online and it said that sometimes you can tear little vessels if you do that in early pregnancy.

I just called my doctor, and they said to call back in about 30 minutes and ask the nurse, but the lady on the phone didn't think it was anything to worry about unless I see more blood and have pain and cramping.
