Did I Have a Miscarriage?
Posted: 08-20-07 20:33pm

I have 2 sons and wonder if I had a miscarriage between the 2. When it happened I went into complete denial and flushed everything down the toilet. I haven't told anyone until now.

This was when my oldest son was about 18 months old. I did not think that I was pregnant but with both my sons pregnancies my periods have carried on throughout so I found out quite late with them.

I was in bed one night when I had the most terrible period type pains. I do have pain some months but this was worse and made me feel sweaty and sick. After a few hours, I realised it was coming and going like contractions. I wondered if something was left after my son's birth, but as I say he was 18 months old.

Eventually the pains stopped completely and I fell asleep. When I got up in the morning, I went to the toilet and there was something in my pants. It was a translucent grey colour and the only thing I can compare it to is looking like a jellyfish. It was not quite as big as the palm of my hand. There wasn't a lot of blood, probably the same as you would get overnight with a normal period.

I had never seen anything like it before and was so shocked I just messed it down the toilet and flushed. Sad I went to work in a daze.

Could this have been an early miscarriage?

It could have been. But then again, I don't know that anyone could tell you for sure.
