Birth Control Issues, No Period, Negative Pregnancy Test Posted: 08-21-07 09:04am
I think I know the answer to this question
but I'd just like some reassurance - I've
been on the BC forever (20 years). I've
taken some "breaks" during that time and
have never missed a period. Since May 1,
2007 until July 1st, I've really only
taken about 5 weeks worth of BC. I had a
hospital stay in May and they put me on
major antibiotics so I never finished that
month of pills (but it was just a few
days). I had a regular period. I then
had gallbladder surgery at the beginning
of June...again, major antibiotics so I
didn't even take pills that month because
I knew the antibiotics would just "void"
out the pill. Had a period in June and
started new pack. Then first week in
July, my husband decides he wants to
"start making babies" so I stopped the
pill mid-cycle and had a period July
13th....period was due again around August
10th. I've taken 4 pregnancy tests and
they are all negative. I'm assuming my
cycle is just confused with all that has
been going on since May and I've really
screwed things up by not being faithful to
the BC......any other thoughts or should I
be worried? My endo. said I could
possibly have PCOS but like I said, when I
went off the pill before I never missed.
I've also gotten pregnant twice (once
while on the pill and once while I screwed
up by BC) but sadly I've also had two
miscarriages so I'm anxious to
get things moving along. I'm 36 and don't
want to put this off any longer.

I think you cycle is just messed up right
now. There is a medication you can get
that will stimulate ovulation if you get
frustrated.
