how many of u girls have encountered fordyce spots or sebaceous prominence (bumps on the skin of penis or sac) and what do you think about them? i want to know how common they really are. im very self conscious about my condition and really need some reassurance

I haven't but I've only had sex with one guy (my hubby)

For me, as long as you told me what it was and that it wasn't a disease, I'd be fine with it.

Look, if they are fordyce's spots then they're normal and there's nothing you can do about them except learn to live with them. No one else replied because you've already got the only answer out there.

Some chicks are going to be shallow about it; a girl just posted on here saying she thinks her bf is lying about them. Whatever; if she's that shallow she's not worth your time.

ok well think bout this, iv got a gf rite now, if i break up with her or the relationship becomes a bit problematic and we begin to dislike each other, things get a bit hateful and she tells all her frends about my problem. if i new she was gonna do this, i wouldn of gone out with her in the first place, some people rnt wot seem to be. and may i ask if u have ever come across a guy with fordyce spots? i would b rather interested.

I wouldn't look at a guy's penis unless I was in love first, so by then, abnormalities just wouldn't matter to me.

How old are you? People are not that shallow, and if the girls she tells are as shallow as she is, then why do you even hang out with these people!?

She means in general.

Please, we're not asking for a college thesis, but try to follow a few guidelines:

1. Use real words. "You", "You're", "Through", etc. Don't replace whole words or parts of words with one letter.
2. Use proper punctiuation. "don't", "can't", and periods at the end of every sentence.
3. Use proper capitalization. "Which bits," "I will", "I" in general.

Nope, I answered you. I said "I wouldn't see a guy's penis until I was in love, so by then, any abnormalities wouldn't matter." That's a long way of saying "NO, but it wouldn't matter since I'm not shallow and I'd be in love!"

I think you need new friends, lol.

what are you basing that statement on? the internet? magazines?.........they may say that it is common, but i have never found anyone with the same problem as me, and on top of that you guys havnt ever confronted it before, my best bet is that its not as common as everyone says it is

I have only had sex with one guy so even if 50% of the population had these, my chances are still good that I'd never see them. For all I know, the next guy I meet and fall in love with will have them.

http://en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Fordyce's_spot

"Fordyce's spots, or Fordyce granules are small, painless, raised, pale or white spots or bumps 1 to 3 mm in diameter that may appear on the shaft of the penis or on the labia, as well as the inner surface and vermilion border of the lips of the face. They are common in men and women of all ages. They are named after an American dermatologist, John Addison Fordyce. On the head of the penis, they are called Tyson glands, not to be confused with pearly penile papules.

The spots are a form of ectopic sebaceous gland, and are not known to be associated with any disease or illness and are of cosmetic concern only. They are non-infectious and a natural occurrence on the body. Men sometimes consult with a dermatologist because they are worried they may have a sexually transmitted disease (especially genital warts) or some form of cancer, but this is not the case. They may equally be worried about the appearance of their penis and what their sexual partner might think of it.

Vaporising laser treatments such as CO2 laser or electro desiccation have been used with some success in diminishing the appearance of this condition if they are of cosmetic concern. However, most doctors consider this a normal physiological phenomenon and advise against treatment."

Ive never came across anyone with them, nor would it bother me, unless you were a complete jerk then iw ouldnt like you but it would be because your a jerk not anything cosmetic. Some people just freak out over weird things theyve never seen before.
Did u try posting this in the mens health forum as well to see if there are any others with the same thing? Might get alot over there.

I have those bumps on my skin at the bottom, I don't see whats so bad looking about them. They don't stand out too much.
