Hi am from pakistan n dont belong to any
medical profession. wot i want is the
information about the treatments given in
case of sum strong acid ingestion. i could
not find any satisfactory answers of my
question on internet.
the history is there is a female patent
who ingested stong acidic liquid( drain
openner named sweep). if you are from
pakistan u must b knowing this. with in 2
hrs the patients stomach was washed out.
but the infection on lips , throat n
stomach remains. now the condition that
doctors tell us is that the whole stomach
is shrinking, esophagus has alredu shrunk.
even they could not perform endoscopy.
there is strong blockage at the beginning
n the end of esophagus. now the doctors
sum how i dont know performed a minor
operation n put sum external food tube n
the patent is now on food through
syringes. the external tube is not
directeting the food nto the stomach which
is already not working. the food is going
into the small intestine directly.
now the doctors say that they are going to
perform "dilatation" to open/expand the
esophagus.
Doctors says thet they can not stop the
shrinking of stomach. it will take it time
n will stop automatically. the we'll
operate n will replace the whole stomach
with sum part of large intestine.
if is there any specialist who can guide
me about the process is it true. is there
any other best method available....
