Q: Pregnant With Nasty Heartburn, Or Maybe Strep?

Hello ladies. First off wanted to say hi!!! I have been absent with the fair, and the school shopping ect. Smile But I'm back again! lol I have been suffering with some NASTY heartburn, and that's putting it lightly Confused I think it's gotten so bad that my throat is raw. I'm pretty sure that's what it was until i started sneezing tonight, and have a bit of a runny nose. If i had strep does it hurt the baby? Is it something that can wait till Monday, or should i go to the ER? I didn't get sick with my last pregnancy, and unsure what to do. I thank you for your answers, and have a wonderful night! Smile

Strep is something very serious. If left untreated for too long, it can lead to rheumatic fever. This happened to a good friend of mine while she was pregnant. She was really out of it for a little bit. No one knew she was pregnant yet either so they almost took her for x-rays but she started mumbling about her baby. I would see how you feel in the morning and maybe call your doc and ask him.
