Tonsillectomy Recently With Post Op Laryngitis Posted: 08-27-07 14:21pm


I had a tonsillectomy in Feb 07 and still get sore throats from time to time. About 3 months after my surgery i started getting laryngitis. Recently i had to go to the ER because my throat was very swollen and i could not talk. I am a nurse and knew something was wrong. The xray of my throat did not show any swelling, but i had a high WBC count. The doctor never gave me a diagnosis. I recieved ABT's and corticosteroids which help me feel better. Now it is 3 weeks later and I am having the same symptoms. My ENT doctor is out of town for a month. Please help.
