Bowel Problems
Posted: 08-27-07 16:49pm

This isn't so much a serious cancer related problem, I just happen to be too embarassed to go to a local doctor about it yet. I'm hoping I can find some answers here.

First off, I'm 18 years of age, and probably most of my years i've had some rather unholy bowel movements, It doesn't often matter what I eat. I don't get healthy bowel movements it's always something more liquidy or just plain bad.

The last few days that's been more frequent, and i've had the stomach pains that usually come with those diareha like movements and they haven't subsided, it's like my colon isn't functioning properly and drying down the foods. I don't know what I'm supposed to take to help something like this, or to stop the problem of frequent stomach pains and bad bowel movements over the course of my life. So i'm hoping there will be some advice here.

One other thing that might be useful to know, (i'm just assuming considering this does have to deal with consumption and processing of food) I haven't vomitted since about age 8 or 9, Probably about 10 years now.

Thanks, hoping for some helpful replies.

Does the pain come together with frequent bowel movements? Do you feel need for defecation at that moment? Does the pain go away after the defecation? Do you have feeling of incomplete defecation? Do you have inflate stomach? Do you find frequency and form of defecation changed? Are you experiencing these symptoms from time to time? Did you have them for a constant period long at last three months?

When you did vomit as a child was it food related? It sounds to me that you might have food sensitivities. Perhaps you should seek out a naturopath who will help you find the foods that you need to eliminate from your diet and work that way. You should be experiencing firm bm's and it doesn't sound like you are.
Have you ever considered doing an internal cleanse? The one I am using for the past 8 years is colonix by drnatura. It is easy to take and will help with cleaning out the colon and helping you become regular - however, I would also suggest you seek advice from a naturopath about your eating habits as that too is part of the problem.
Let us know what you've decided to do and what is working for you.

First off, when I vomited as a child there were only a few occasions I can remember fairly well. Once from some pizza on a day I was already sick I believe,

another day I was feeling crappy from the morning on that I drank a whole bottle of gatorade later that night.

Once when I was choking on a fishbone while my parents argued about the situation in front of me.

And Once directly after coming home from mcdonalds. Some of these things did make me paranoid after those experiences, as vomiting is one of my worst fears now. However I'm not allergic to pizza, mcdonalds food(Not that I go there much) I don't eat a lot of fish, but tuna I will. And Gatorade I haven't touched since that day : )

Anyway, it's been awhile since vomiting, scary thought for me.

To explain the other bits, the pain did/does come with frequent bowl movements, I think it's getting better since yesterday. And my stomach would feel somewhat bloated and unfinished,Going to the bathroom every 20 minutes and the like. It was only bad just recently these few days, and I guess that could be me being sick or such.

However getting bad bms on a reguler basis is still a problem even if this one clears up. I mean if I eat anything with sugar, sometimes even stuff without in the early mornings (6AM) I could get stomach pains and unpleasent bms. sometimes i'll look back on what I ate throughout the day and it all seems fine, healthy, or just the same as what everyone else was eating. Vegetables and meat, it shouldn't really be a problem.

I guess i'm more interested in this 'cleansing' thing. I read up on something about that once or twice, It's just kind of an embarassing topic to think/talk about to doctors or the people around me. Which is why i'm using ye olde internets : )

Hi!
At first you should focus on changes of your nutrition.
I'll suggest you to avoid milk products, drinks and medicines that contain fructoses or sorbitol, excessive use of caffeine and food that makes our stomach bloated(some vegetables). Fiber diet can be helpful too.
If you have the form and the frequency of defecation changed together with your stomach pain and bowel movements, you'll probably need to visit your doctor, because maybe your having colon irritable syndrome.

It certainly seems that way, I was wrong since then nothing's really changed. It's pretty much diareha like everyday. No form to it, and my stomach still feels bloated. What sort of things could a doctor prescribe for this sort of problem?

Diarrhoea is not something to just ignore. You really should get checked out. For me what has helped was a change in diet and cleansing. I have been using colonix for 8 years now and it really has helped ensure my system is clear and running smoothly. However, I did consult with a naturopath because although I did not see normal allergic reactions of certain foods my body was rebelling differently. The signs were mood fluctuations, constipation, diarrhoea, skin rashes, weight gain and a long list of other symptoms. You could still have food allergies and not know it. The colonix program worked really well for me and didn't require change in my everyday life. It was gentle on my system and helped eliminate years of build up in my colon. For me it is a great product. I hope you find your answers and what works for you. Keep us up to date on your progress.
