Finn Update And a Few Pics
Posted: 08-27-07 19:59pm

finn had his 9 month appointment today. can you believe he'll be 10 months on monday?!

he's finally slimming down and evening out a bit. he's just under 23 pounds and 2'5.5", he went from the 95th percentile down to the 75th.

the doctor said he's way ahead on everything except speech, he's behind in that. he's not concerned about it though and hopes to see improvement at his next appointment. he just doesn't have anything to say!

he had to have his finger pricked twice and didn't even notice, he's such a trooper!

these are seriously the only pictures i've taken since the ones of him playing in the mirror. poor finn, i'm missing a chunk of his life. lately he's been looking less like a baby and more like a little boy and it makes me sad.

we shared a popsicle one morning-

that was a pretty lackluster update.

Any picture of Finn is a good picture. Hard to believe in 2 more months he will be a year old. He will talk when hes good and ready...he's so cute he doesn't ever have to utter a word! And blue popsicles RULE! THanks for sharing!

Yay! the forum won't crumble down after all! Pics of Finn is just what was needed. Wow, he can't be 10 mos already! He's so cute. I'm glad I wandered over here when I did or I would have missed out.
I wouldn't think he'd be behind on talking unless he was over a year or so. One of my nephews didn't start talking until he was a little over 2 years old. Maybe he's just so advanced at the rest of the things he seems behind in talking. I wouldn't worry about it (tho you don't seem to be) He's a perfect little boy!

thanks ladies!

martha, i'm feeling better in that i'm not feeling like i'm going to vomit 24/7, but the meds make me super groggy so i'm still just a lump on the couch. i'm actually feeling semi-ok today so i'm hoping maybe the morning sickness is starting to taper off. cross your fingers!

we're not really concerned with his lack of talking yet but he is behind. he's very vocal and yells and makes lots of noise, but he doesn't do any babbling like "bababababa" and "dadadada". he's supposed to be making lots of consonant sounds and he still just yells lots of vowel sounds and the occasional 'h' or 'y' sound. i think he's just more focused on his motor skills than his talking right now. i'm sure eventually i won't be able to shut him up!

thanks everyone, i miss you all and i'm hoping to get back into the swing of things soon.

aww, look at fins blue lips! what a handsome boy! I cna't beliee he is almost a year old man. . . time flies!

Dalton said a few words by the time he was 1 12 but not much. Now he says more but no complete sentences. I was talking to my sister the other day and hit my hand on the table and said "damn!" in a joking manner and he looked at me and slammed his fist and said "dam!".lol sounded more like dim but It was hilarious! It just goes to show nothing can be said around kids unless your ok with what they're about to say!

I love his facessss!!

Boys "normally" talk & walk before girls.

Oni's 16 months and JUST started "talking" talking. Don't sweat it...walking is 1st on his list of 'things to do'! lol!!

How are YOU feeling??
