Jordynne Not Eating Alot. Posted: 08-28-07 16:58pm
She is 8 mths old and the past couple days
she hasnt ate alot. yesterday i was trying
to give her table food, i made oatmeal
for the kids for breakfast i put fresh
blue berries in joseph and the juice from
the frozen strawberries in jordynnes with
some brown sugar and raisins also in
josephs, jordynne atea lil , joseph none.
she had a bottle before her nap ate 4oz
then had one other bottle the entire day!,
i tried feeding her other food but she
didnt eat much of that either. Today she
had a bottle about 8-9am. i went to the px
and stuff came home. Mind you she sorta
gummed and nibbled josephs poptart this
morning. she was cranky screaming but
joseph was hitting her the meanie. I tried
putting her for a nap she wasnt having it
so i tried to feed her she ate about 2 oz
then fell asleep. When she woke up at 6pm
i gaive her a jar of baby food mixed with
rice cereal and she ate it all and drank
like maybe an ounce of juice. She didnt go
to sleep until 9pm but didnt drink the
bottle before bed either, i tried to feed
it to her and she kept pushing it away, so
i put her to bed, its now midnight and she
is still asleep. iput the bottle in with
her in case she woke up and decided to
drink it but its still in there full. Im
wondering is it normal if theyre teething
for them to eat like this like hardly
eating at all? joseph seemed to never have
any problems eating.

teething could be the problem. have you
tried giving her calpol about half hour
before dinner to ease the pain? also,
around this age they start to become
fussy! williams like that and doesnt like
being fed. he loves finger food and his
milk though!

it's prob the heat. plus teething. Her
appetite will get better as the weather
starts to cool off.
As long as she's gaining weight, she
should be fine!
i never knew heat could make them eat
less., yeah its hot here lataely and
sometimes hotter in the house, since we
dont have a/c here. she seems to be eating
alil more today though. she doesnt see the
dr again until next month for her 9 mth
checkup.
